An arts-science collaboration exploring the cutting-edge world of VR.
As immersive technologies look set to become part of our everyday existence, we have teamed up with Virtual Reality researchers at the University of Bristol to explore the ethics and societal issues of this cutting-edge science.
We are devising new ways of communicating developments in the technology, and of harnessing conversations around ethics, philosophy, and the human experience.
The project will culminate in a series of participatory performances, exploring the world of VR and empowering public debate – quite unlike anything we have ever done before!
In the meantime, follow our journey over at our blog Welcome to Tomorrow!
Virtual Reality is part of a year-long collaboration with researchers from the University of Bristol, supported by the Public Engagement team, in partnership with We The Curious, Knowle West Media Centre, ImmotionVR, and a number of Bristol schools.
Virtual Reality is a Knowledge Transfer Secondment funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and the University of Bristol.
Public performances will be programmed in summer 2019.
