Descendants / Futurology

Bring alive all your tomorrows today. Workshops to theatricalise the future, fusing hard futurological scientific thinking and your imagined bloodline.
We have worked in futurology since our inception, talking to professional future-gazers about what’s really going to happen in the next 50, 100, 500 years.
In collaboration with Forum for the Future and as Artists in Residents at ICIA, The Edge, University of Bath, we have developed a host of approaches for dealing with the overwhelming daunting complexity of the future.
Will our Descendants live in yurts and eat insects? Or will they be carried on robotic limbs with their diet controlled by a personally calibrated drip? What will they care about? What will they consider important moments of their history?
We have run a series of these workshops in different formats – from creating timelines to visualise host communities to devising monologues spoken from specific descendants at a specific time in the future.
