Past Commissions - some examples

Forum for the Future - 2006/2007  

Kilter devised four short plays for use in launch events, presentations and workshops for Forum for the Future's Retail Futures 2022 project.  The four plays comissioned for the Retail Futures project were also turned into podcasts which you can hear below.  The idea was to help the audience better understand what it might look and feel like to live and shop in 2022.  Using story and human interaction really helped the audience take the leap of imagination required to embrace the new products and services.

Marmot Report - 2010

We were comissioned to create a piece of theatre to kick start the Marmot Review launch. The Marmot review looked in to how to address health inequalities in the UK. Oour task was to create something that would enliven the audience, encapsulate the main themes of the report and help the audience recognise that everyone needs to work together to create the change needed to address the problem. All in 10 minutes!  It was a huge success - the organiser said "Kilter more than met our objectives and the organising committee agreed overwhelmingly Kilter delivered great value and was the 'something extra' we sought."

So often one-day conferences aimed at disseminating a lengthy and detailed report become information overload. It was hoped Kilter would get the report's key messages across at the start of the conference in an engaging and stimulating way. Kilter produced creative and entertaining work that really helped communicate some sensitive and possibly confusing issues.
